Dr. Pan's Biography
Dony Dongqing Pan is an associate professor in the Department of Engineering and Industrial Professions at UNA with 10 years of education in engineering. Dr. Pan received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2016, his master’s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2009, and his bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2007.
Before his Ph.D. study, Dr. Pan worked at two European engineering companies from 2009 to 2012. He played a key role in more than five engineering design and development projects, and he developed significant practical knowledge and skills in mechanical system design, 3D modeling, manufacturing processes, and engineering project management. Dr. Pan also has two-years of experience teaching fundamental engineering courses. Dr. Pan is highly favored by his students as an engineering educator, and he is committed to create an interactive, inclusive, and enjoyable learning environment.
His current research interests are centered in nano-manufacturing including Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), thin film fabrication, nano-manufacturing system design and optimization, reactive thermal-fluid dynamics modeling, nano-material synthesis, and sustainable nano-manufacturing. He has published more than 10 research journal and conference papers.
