Summer Pell Grant Policy

A student may receive up to 50 percent of an additional Federal Pell Grant Scheduled award within an award year, for extra payment periods attended. For example, a student attends at a 100% enrollment intensity in the fall and spring, fully utilizing the initial Scheduled Award. If the student attends summer at 100% enrollment intensity, the institution may pay a full-time award, as that would be 50 percent of the Scheduled Award for the year.

Due to the large number contact hours of all classes during the 8 week summer session, financial aid strongly advises students to carefully consider their enrollment load before registration. The student is expected to complete all registered classes to avoid possible repayment of financial aid.
