Instructional Leadership Interview Instructions
Candidate Interview
Success in graduate school depends on more than earning good grades. This is a time for you to build a professional network and demonstrate professional behavior. The primary mission of graduate education in Instructional Leadership is to prepare the next generation of professional, scholarly, and educational leaders. In order to fulfill this mission, we seek candidates with an understanding of and capacity for technology utilization, scholarship, independent critical judgment, self-directed interpretation, academic rigor, and intellectual honesty.
One of the components of the admission process is to complete a program interview. This process will be completed electronically through video. The digital video should be 4 to 8 minutes in length and address the following questions:
- Describe your current position. Be sure to include any duties and responsibilities.
- Describe your experience in areas of leadership (school, community, service organization, etc.).
- What is your perception of the duties and responsibilities of an Instructional Leader?
- What are your career goals?
- What do you hope to gain from completion of the UNA Instructional Leadership Program?
Be sure to dress professionally, choose your background carefully, look directly at the camera, and speak clearly. Once your video is complete, it should be uploaded to the cloud.
