Transfer Monitoring Policy
The U.S. Department of Education requires all schools to initiate a Transfer Monitoring process for any student who begins studies during the academic year to verify remaining Title IV financial aid eligibility for the same award year (Sec. 668.19 (b)1-2). This process must be done even if the student did not receive financial aid at any other school. A Transfer Monitoring Hold must be placed on any federal financial aid at UNA for seven (7) days until this process has been completed.
There is no action needed by the student during this TM process. However, if financial aid was received at another school during this award year, any pending financial aid disbursements at that school must be canceled and aid at UNA may be adjusted to appropriate amounts with remaining eligibility.
