Presidential Mentors Academy Requirements
These are the renewal requirements for maintaining your scholarship and graduating as a Presidential Mentor.
Students who are admitted into the Presidential Mentors Academy must:
- Successfully complete the PMA summer requirements their Freshman year which include:
- Live in the residence halls for the month of July.
- Successfully complete two in-person PMA courses totaling 4 credit hours during the month of July.
- *All expenses for July are covered by PMA. This includes housing, meals, and courses.*
- Maintain full-time enrollment for Fall and Spring semester (minimum 12 credit hours per semester)
- Successfully complete 27 credit hours per academic year (fall/spring) with an average grade of “B”
- Must actively participate in monthly meetings and events.
Important note: If you were to lose your scholarship, you will not be able to return to the PMA program.
Scholarship Amounts & Credit Hour Requirements
Classification Annual Scholarship Amount Credit Hour Requirements* Freshman $2,000 27 credit hours by the end of spring semester Sophomore $2,200 + $500 bookstore 54 credit hours by the end of spring semester Junior $2,400 + $500 bookstore 81 credit hours by the end of spring semester Senior $2,600 + $500 bookstore 108 credit hours by the end of spring semester Fifth Year – if necessary $2,000 *Keep in mind that total credit hours to complete a degree at UNA is a minimum of 120 credit hours.
