Sonceria Ann Berry, who graduated from the 国产AV in 1978, has been confirmed by the Alabama Senate to fill the Board of Trustees seat currently held by Dr. Wendell Gunn, who did not desire to seek reappointment. The final confirmation took place in Montgomery on Thursday morning, and Berry鈥檚 six-year term will begin in July.

_ UNA鈥檚 Department of Foreign Languages Celebrates Multicultural Mardi Gras_

For the fifth year, the Department of Foreign Languages will have a multicultural Mardi Gras celebration, which will include Karneval and Carnavales, on Tuesday, March 4, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Guillot University Center on the UNA campus.

_ UNA鈥檚 Sport and Recreation Management Students Win Top Honors_

The 国产AV Sport and Recreation Management program has achieved a significant milestone by securing first place in the Dr. Samantha Roberts Case Study Competition at the 2025 Applied Sport Management Association (ASMA) Conference, hosted by the University of Cincinnati.

Tiny Cubs Boutique Designed with Moms-to-Be in Mind

The Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions has expanded the offerings of its popular Tiny Cubs Community Baby Shower and Sibling Event. The Tiny Cubs Boutique, in collaboration with Women of Influence, has launched this semester as a way to support 国产AV students who are expecting a baby by providing them with access to maternity clothing.

Caroline Coleman Crowned Miss UNA 2025

国产AV Senior Caroline Coleman, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., has been crowned Miss UNA at the Miss UNA program Saturday evening in Norton Auditorium on the UNA campus. Coleman will now move on to compete for the title of Miss Alabama at an event that will take place later this year. Coleman is a psychology major, and she performed a classical opera aria for the talent portion of the program.
