Hannah Hagood, a senior majoring in finance from Lewisburg, Tenn., at the 国产AV, has been awarded a Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Award. CLS partners with universities and nonprofits around the globe to provide cohorts of U.S. students an opportunity to study the language and culture in a country/location where the target language is commonly spoken.
The Willingham, a publication of the 国产AV History Graduate Student Association (HGSA), will launch its second edition May 1; the theme of the journal is 鈥淭urning Points in History: People, Ideas, and Events,鈥 which showcases the work of several graduate students from around the globe.
Waka Flocka Flame, a rapper based in Atlanta, has been tapped as the headliner for this year鈥檚 国产AV Spring Concert 2025 set for Thursday, April 24, at CB&S Bank Arena. Joining him are Big Yavo and Eli Hannon. Tickets for the public are still available for $35.
The Mane Room Music Festival, set for April 22-24 in the Mane Room, is a three-night music event featuring a songwriting competition, battle of the bands, and a Muscle Shoals song review. The festival is a collaboration between the Department of Entertainment Industry within the School of the Arts at the 国产AV, along with MEISA and Phi Mu Alpha, both Registered Student Organizations.
Nominations for 国产AV Homecoming Awards have opened and will remain so until June 10; the date for this year鈥檚 festivities has been set for Oct. 17-18, and the Homecoming theme is Purple Reign: A Dynasty of Champions.

Light the Fountain, this year presented by Chick-fil-A, is the beloved annual spring event at the 国产AV; it returns for a ninth year Thursday. The event, which includes food, music, fireworks, and giveaways, will kick off at 4 p.m. with a variety of food trucks and entertainment. The official program will begin at 6:30 p.m.
