Curremt Summer Housing Residents:

• If you are living on campus right now (summer housing/apartments), please DO NOT select a reservation time. We will be contacting you directly for your transition instructions.

Fall Mattielou Residents:

• Mattielou is where our summer hall residents live. Some of these students are relocating to new buildings. There could be some delay in the availability of these rooms due to cleaning, maintenance, or delay in their fall assignment. If you are assigned to these buildings, there may be a delay in your room preparation. If you have an early reservation, we will contact you should this be the case. 

Reservation System:

• The reservation system will open on July 10th at 10am and can be accessed .
• There will be a certain number of spots allocated each day. They are first-come, first-serve. We cannot create additional spots for special circumstances. 
• We cannot accommodate any early arrivals other than those listed below. We appreciate your understanding. 

August 7th: Band

• Students will check-in at the HRL office in Rivers Hall. Volunteers will not be available for early arrivals. 

August 9th: Sororities/ROAR Dance

• Students will check-in at the HRL office in Rivers Hall. Volunteers will not be available for early arrivals. 

August 15th-17th: Fall Opening Weekend

• All Students (Residence Halls & Apartments)
• Students will begin check-in at the GUC parking lot and work their way through a series of drive-thru stations. Limited volunteers will be available to assist in the unloading zones and provide assistance as you get moved in. 

August 19th-23rd: Late Arrivals

• Students will check-in at the HRL office in Rivers Hall. Volunteers will not be available for late arrivals. 

Early Check-In:

• Early Arrival residents typically include athletics, band, sororities, etc. and should confirm their expected arrival dates/times/details with their respective Director/Coach/Advisor/Supervisor. 
• Please direct questions specific to expectations and schedules to that individual and contact Housing & Residence Life with questions regarding your housing assignment. 
• You will check-in at the HRL office on the ground floor of Rivers Hall. We will have carts available, but our staff are in training and assistance will be limited. Volunteers are not available. Please note that you are arriving before we officially open so this is a 'no-frills' move-in, but we're still thrilled to see you! 

Move-In Weekend:

• This is when the majority of our residents will arrive. We will have volunteers, popscicles, and more Lion spirit than you can imagine. 
• You will begin at the GUC Parking lot and be directed to the Rice/Rivers lot where you will finalize check-in and receive necessary items.
• You will then go to your assigned building where you will unload. Please keep someone with your vehicle as this part moves quickly.
• Once unloaded, you will relocate your vehicle to the designated parking areas then you can take all the time you want to get settled!

Late Arrivals:

• If you cannot/choose not to arrive between August 15th-17th, you may check on the first week of class. You do not need prior approval to do this, but should reserve a time. 
• If you have not officially checked in by 8am on Friday, August 23rd, you will be declared a 'No-Show' and your assignment will be cancelled unless you fall into the category below. 
• We have additional slots for August 19th-23rd for students that may have travel or pre-existing plans that prevent them from arriving before classes begin. You MUST reserve a move-in time as well. 

• We will not have volunteers available during early and late check-ins. We will have limited volunteers on move-in weekend. 
• You may volunteer to assist with move-in weekend by registering . 

• You must have your MANE Card (digital or physical) or Photo ID present to check in. Digital is recommended.
• If you need to have a MANE Card created, please go to the MANE Card office on the Commons 1st floor. 

• Please refer to the Parking Map for unloading zones and parking instructions.
• Rice/Rivers Hall parking lots will close at 6pm on Sunday, August 12th.
• The Rivers/Rice parking lots will remain closed until Saturday, August 17th at 8pm. 
• We encourage you to move all vehicles from the Parking Deck to Parking Lot OO before 6am each day so arriving residents may utilize this space during their move-in. 

• Visitation is strictly prohibited between the end of summer term on July 31st and Thursday, August 15th when the residence halls officially open. 

• The reservation system will open at 10am on July 10th and can be accessed in the . 
• If you need to change your reservation, you must remove your original reservation before selecting a new one. You cannot have two reserved slots at one time. 
• If you reserve a time on a day that you are not eligible for, your reservation will be removed.
