Accelerated Master's Program- Kinesiology
The Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP) offers qualified UNA undergraduate students the opportunity to enroll in graduate coursework that can be applied concurrently to an undergraduate and graduate degree.
To apply, students must complete an application via the AMP Application page.
Eligibility
- *Completed 60 or more hours toward their undergraduate degree
- Overall GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale) at time of entry into AMP
- A or B on all coursework in a Kinesiology (or acceptable) major
- Applicants must receive a 2/3 or greater approval vote from Kinesiology faculty having classroom (or similar) experience which permits an evaluation of academic potential
- Final approval is granted via the Department of Kinesiology Chair
*Transfer students who have successfully completed at least 60 undergraduate hours are eligible after completing a minimum of 9 hours in a major offered in the Department of Kinesiology

- Enhanced credentials (accepted into and completed the UNA AMP).
- Students complete their Bachelor’s degree having already completed 3-9 credit hrs applicable toward their Master’s degree.
- Students can complete the BS and MS degree in a total of 5 years.
- Potential waiver of standardized testing (GRE,MAT) typically required for admission to the MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion and MS in Sport & Recreation Management degree plans.
