Program Description
The Higher Education Administration: Student Development micro-credential is a non-degree seeking program is designed to for professionals who are interested in learning more about student life and development within higher education. This micro-credential aims to give students a better understanding of student diversity, budgetary management, student housing, academic advising, and more. Students also explore the legal issues that affect the administration of postsecondary educational institutions. Most of the faculty also work in higher education administration roles across our institution and local community college institutions. Grades earned within this program will be part of your permanent academic record and may be applied to the program.

Admission Requirement
Admission into the online Micro-credential in Higher Education Administration: Student Development program at North Alabama includes the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally-accredited US based institution or an institution recognized by the government of another country.
- An overall undergraduate grade point average of at least a 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, as reported on the transcript of the qualifying degree granting institution.
