UNA Opera & Musical Theatre strives to provide high quality musical-theatrical training and experiences for the UNA community. Performance opportunities are available each semester, with a chamber production in the fall and a major production in the spring. Fall semesters are skills focused, inviting singing actors of all abilities to develop movement, stagecraft, acting, improvisation, and character / scene analysis, culminating in a scenes program of both opera and musical theatre. Spring semesters are dedicated to fully staged productions, alternating opera and musical theatre each year, with auditions held late in the fall. Additionally, students may be selected to be a part of an outreach ensemble, bringing performances to schools and organizations throughout the region.
