Mentoring Program

Welcome to the Cole Honors Mentor Page! Since 2015, the Honors Mentor Program has connected hundreds of first year students with current students for guidance, advice, and good times during the important transition to college life. Mentors and their Mentees and Mentor Prides (several Mentor/Mentee clusters) get together for fun and interesting extracurricular events during the fall semester. The focus is on support, assistance, and having a smooth transition during the first year of college.

The Honors College prides itself on our strong community. Our welcoming community is one of the best things about the Honors College. The Mentor Program gives incoming students someone who can answer questions and be a guide to the UNA experience.

Training for new Mentors takes place in the spring of each year. Our new Mentor Leaders for 2024-2025 are Taylor Glascock and Emma Reeves. We are excited about the Mentor Program for fall.

To help us pair new Honors students with the best mentor possible, we ask interested freshmen to fill out the following questionnaire:

"As a Mentor, I love being a friendly face on campus for incoming freshmen." Rebekah Matthews
