Bio:

I was born in Houma, Louisiana. My mother’s family is first generation Italian American and my father’s family is of Cajun descent. This means that I can cook. I have been cooking since I was nine years old and spend a lot of my free time in the kitchen.

I have taught in Louisiana for twenty-three years in the public schools before arriving at Kilby. I have a master’s in Reading and Reading Specialist certification in Louisiana. I have taught both third and fifth grade during those years and I was also a Reading Interventionist.

I have two children that are both in College. One attends the University of Arkansas and is a senior and the other is a sophomore at Auburn University. They both love Florence and want to settle here once they finish school.

I have been married to Dennis for twenty-three years. He is always with me, because he is my best friend.

I am loving the Sixth grade at Kilby. There is so much to do and we are enjoying every challenge that is thrown our way.
