FLORENCE, AL – The Big Deal, the largest of the events to take place during Mane Month at the 国产AV, is set for Thursday, Aug. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at North Court and Irvine streets in downtown Florence.

The event, which is coordinated through the Center for Student Engagement, has become a staple event of the welcome-back events hosted for students returning to campus, according to Matthew Jones, Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development, as The Big Deal provides opportunities for students to get involved in student organizations, to learn about campus resources, and to explore offerings from local vendors.

“The Big Deal is more than just an event; it’s where the student’s UNA journey truly begins,” Jones said. “They can discover their community, make lasting connections, and dive into the excitement that makes the Shoals and the UNA campus so special.”

The event is free to UNA students, and, in addition to the opportunity to learn about student organizations and other campus-based resources, The Big Deal is also packed with games, giveaways, entertainment, and food.
